Had fun in the car This week we visited Parkside 23 for date night. On the way, Ruth was pretty sure Chad threw a shaka symbol at a Methodist church.
Enjoyed sushi with friends
As a tradition of our family of friends, we visited Wasabi Sushi Lounge for all-you-can-eat sushi for Easter.
Started getting fit
It’s official: we’re back on the road to fitness. Ruth started walking, the treadmill arrived, and Chad started running. We also had a coaching session with a fitness trainer who suggested another style of eating for us.
Made healthier choices
We were challenged to have a pizza with a cauliflower crust – in an effort to eat more plant-based foods. Chad was apprehensive, but in the end, he admitted to really liking it!
Connected with a friend
We had the opportunity to connect with our friend JJ in real time – on a phone call! It was balm for the soul.

Celebrated National Pizza Day Chad was on the road this week and had to navigate through a snow storm on Friday, but we still managed to enjoy National Pizza Day!
Played Air Hockey
We visited Romine’s High Pockets – a pool and billiards hall in Milwaukee. It’s kind of a dive restaurant but the food was delicious. On the way out, Ruth noticed an air hockey table, so naturally there was a showdown!
Activated the Activity app on our watches
After wading through a foot of snow to retrieve the dogs from barking at the neighbor dogs, we realized we need to increase our fitness. We spent time pairing all our health apps together so we can track our movement each day.
Watched a fun Automan parody Actor David Hewlett (Stargate Atlantis, etc), a fellow geek, created a parody of 80s TV show, Automan. This was clearly a labor of love – and we LOVED it! Watch it here.
